Leadership Tip from The Dynamic Introvert:
Multi-Tasking is a Myth – In a recent interview, neuro-scientist Dr. Amishi Jha, confirmed that multi-tasking is a myth. The brain simply can’t work on multiple tasks simultaneously. Instead the brain switches rapidly back and forth between tasks, something that Dr. Jha refers to as “task switching”. This “switching gears” not only leaves us feeling exhausted but can also result in a lot of errors. One way to avoid this is by organizing our “to do” lists into chunks and focusing on one chunk at a time through-out the day.
